Every preventative maintenance program Silverhawk puts together is tailored to the specific needs of each facility & customer.
IR Thermal Surveys
IR Thermal surveys identify abnormally high temperatures that result from situations such as:
- overloaded electrical circuits
- unbalanced loads
- loose connections
- damaged wiring
- corrosion
- frictional heating of bearings in mechanical systems
Infrared thermography does not require any physical contact with the system being surveyed; and thus an infrared survey can be conducted while the system is still “live” and under load.
During the infrared survey, thermal photographs are taken and afterwards a report is created which identifies areas of concern.

Vibration Analysis
Vibration analysis provides detailed information on rotating equipment and helps identify potential and existing problems.
Silverhawk Dynamics uses the latest vibration diagnostic equipment and analytical techniques to solve even the most difficult problems.
We identify the specific source of recurring problems that may lead to mechanical failures such as ac or dc motor problems, structural deflection, etc.
Our vibration analysis service includes a comprehensive report on predictive maintenance testing and procedures, analysis of the tests, and recommendations for corrective actions.

Preventative Maintenance Services
Preventive maintenance keeps equipment in top condition through regular machinery checkups and maintenance tasks. These services may be scheduled according to the calendar or based on equipment operating time. The process typically involve inspection, cleaning and oil and filter changes. A preventive maintenance program can reduce unplanned downtime by providing a framework to identify and address any needed repairs.
Dynamic Balancing
We offer dynamic balancing services to correct the most common cause of premature failure in rotating machinery. Unbalance is caused by the uneven distribution of mass around the axis of rotation. If you repair a machine, replace bearings, or perform other service and still experience noise and vibration, you are most likely experiencing unbalance (or imbalance).
Our on-site balancing services are for in-service equipment at your facility, whereas our in house balancing services are for components that can be brought to our shop.
